SVTIL - 'Raised By The Moon'
As Winter edges ever nearer, newbies SVTIL are here to add a bit of spice to proceedings with their debut single ‘Raised By The Moon’.
This Spanish three-piece are here to bring in a new wave of sisterhood, with the band being the flagship for the Manchester-based label Incantation ran and directed by women and this band’s no-nonsense sound is the perfect breath of fresh air necessary to shake things up.
Despite this being their first release, Nerea, Paula and Cris have a reasonable amount of experience under their belts already in terms of gigging. Having played gigs right across their native Spain and also London, the time has come for the trio to flex their muscles in the studio and they certainly don’t disappoint.
The lead single from their upcoming debut EP, ‘Raised By The Moon’ is a colour by numbers indie anthem that is done incredibly well with intricate guitar work and solid drumming which really gives us a track that is hard not to turn up. The track is about “dreams”, the ones that are more personal and voiced with one’s self in the early hours and the “fear” that can come with people hearing and dismissing them.
‘Raised By The Moon’ is a great place setter for what SVTIL are all about and what they strive to achieve with their music and also their message as women looking to navigate the indie scene and not letting anything stand in the way of that.
‘Raised By The Moon’, the debut single from SVTIL is available now on all major streaming platforms.
