Arlo Parks - 'Green Eyes'

Arlo Parks announces much anticipated debut album and shares comforting new song ‘Green Eyes’.

Having released two incredibly successful singles ‘Hurt’ and ‘Black Dog’, breakthrough singer-songwriter and poet Arlo Parks announces the release of her debut album ‘Collapsed in Sunbeams.’ The artist also shares a sneak peek of what she describes as a “series of vignettes and intimate portraits surrounding my adolescence” in new vulnerable single ‘Green Eyes’.

With backing vocals and guitar by lo-fi collaborator Clairo, the track is quintessential Arlo. The single highlights her powerful yet controlled and smooth voice as she opens up through beautifully crafted lyrics. "This is a song about self-discovery, self-acceptance and adolescence. It is supposed to uplift and comfort those going through hard times", she explains.

Accompanied by a series of striking visuals directed by Louis Bhose, the narrative of the song certainly leaves you wanting more. Now that we know there is a whole album on the works, we can certainly expect Arlo to keep us on our toes as she takes us through her self-discovery journey and allows us to do the same.
