JWestern - 'Regret It All'
Featured as part of his debut EP ‘Just People’, genre-fluid JWestern shares new hypnotic single ‘Regret It All’.
Embracing the power of deconstructing and combining genres, alt-pop riser JWestern takes the best elements of R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and pop to carefully construct a self-confessional almost ambiance experience in lead single ‘Regret It All’. With his appeasing vocals reflecting the candour of his songwriting against contrasting woozy synths and fingerpicking guitar chords, the track is certainly a treat worthy of listening on repeat!
From beginning to end, ‘Regret It All’ is a journey in which JWestern takes the listener by the hand as he mirrors the feeling of thoughts bouncing through your head. He explains, “I wanted the synths in the verses to push and pull to illustrate my frame of mind never being constantly in the right headspace, and rather dipping in and out of clarity for a long time.”
With the single as the introduction to what promises to be a very genuine collection of tracks recorded with a mix of analog and digital techniques, JWestern steps into the arena of Arlo Parks and Gus Dapperton ready to take his rightful place in young listeners’ playlists.
