Dead Pony - '23, Never Me'

Dead Pony are back and cutting themselves free with their wickedly brilliant new single ’23, Never Me’.

The quartet are one of a handful of bands that are leading the surge of the Glasgow indie scene, with their unapologetically assaulting post-punk sound barging down the door of the mainstream scene and plopping themselves at the front table as one of the country’s brightest musical prospects. 2020 has been quite the year for the four-piece, which has perfectly positioned them for 2021 and to break through the glass ceiling with their debut EP and an extensive live tour all in the pipeline.

’23, Never Me’ gives us an insight to what we can expect going forward from the Scots and they’re certainly not short of energy as the message of “cutting ties” with “toxicity” and “negative people” is ferociously thrust into our ears. There are certainly more layers to ’23, Never Me’ than just this unrepented energy, it’s a message of positivity and an assertion that it’s okay to focus on yourself and “cut” toxicity out of your life.

Dead Pony have a brilliant talent of piercing your mind with their ferocious music, whilst instilling important messages which leaves you thinking about ’23, Never Me’ for hours after and is the perfect start to what we can expect to be a very important year for these four.

’23, Never Me’, the new single from Dead Pony is available now on all major streaming platforms.
