Nadia Sheikh - 'Fire Away'
Nadia Sheikh shares her love letter to live music with her intimate new single ‘Fire Away’.
The half British, half Spanish maestro has a undeniable talent in flowing effortlessly between genres, with Sheikh’s main inspirations laying between indie rock and pop which makes each of Sheikh’s tracks hard to shake out of your head.
Sheikh’s talent certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed, joining the legendary Stereophonics on their European tour last year. It was there where ‘Fire Away’ became a fan favourite, with the single being recorded between her native Spain and London and it is a song that pays tribute to Sheikh’s love for the stage.
Sheikh describes ‘Fire Away’ simply as a “love song to the crowd”, but also the “fear” that comes with leaving yourself exposed in front of thousands of people but that’s combated the overall feeling that you’re “not alone”. ‘Fire Away’ is a great look behind the looking glass of what it feels like to be up on stage, showcasing Sheikh’s true talent for song writing and as one of the UK’s brightest musical talents.
