Daggy Man - 'Problems'

Singer-songwriter Daggy Man shares woozy lo fi folk pop on current single, ‘Problems’.

Daggy Man drives heartfelt indie folk into experimental territory on hazy bedroom pop number, ‘Problems’. Pleasant finger picking sits against a backdrop of ethereal and ambient, tones that seem to have a gravity defying effect and serve to make their listener feel like their floating. In turn, Daggy Man’s vocal soars with celestial folk-tinged beauty, and overall, the tone of the piece remains relatively light, warm and soothing.

However, ‘Problems’ is not a song that soundtracks escapism. In fact, it pulls a hugely enormous emotive punch. It is deeply confessional and self-examining in nature as seen through lyrics such as, “I get triggered by the simplest things these days”, and the breezy chorus, “Lately I can see the problems come from me and all the shit I speak when I get on a different wavelength”.

’Problems’ is a track not without its quirks. Sometimes barmy, yet always beautiful, ‘Problems’ sees Daggy Man bravely wear his flaws on his sleeve.
