Indie-bop-masters Beach Bunny return with new single ‘Good Girls (Don't Get Used)’, the first look at vibrant new EP due on Jan 2021.

After their critically acclaimed album ‘Honeymoon’ resonated with thousands of fans thanks to it’s energetic melodies and intrinsic lyrics about highs and lows of a new love, indie band BeachBunny delight their audience with new single Good Girls (Don't Get Used)’.

Opening with really strong bass-line that resembles that of a good Paramore song, the track combines high-spirited instrumentation with clever and candid lyrics about female empowerment. As front person and the creative force behind Beach Bunny, Lili Trifilio explains, “As a veteran of engaging with emotionally unavailable people, I wanted to create a sassy song that calls out players by talking down to them as if they were children, showing that poor communication skills and mind games are immature. It shifts the blame to the person that was acting disrespectful, instead of myself. The song also hammers home the point that I know my worth; I'm not afraid to call out players on their stupid behaviour and I'm not going to tolerate being thrown around emotionally.”

This feeling of reclaiming power and dominance in romantic relationships is the perfect appetiser for recently announced new EP ‘Blame Game’, out on Jan 15th. The new project touches on the subjects of toxic masculinity, sexism and the emotional labour of unreliable relationships - very on brand indeed. However, Beach Bunny never fails to take listeners by surprise which is why we can’t wait to play the new, fresh tracks on repeat!
