BLOXX - 'Coming Up Short'

BLOXX have kicked off the biggest year of their careers with a bang with the new single ‘Coming Up Short’.

The four-piece from London have bubbled under the surface for some time, but they have come some way since I saw them at Middlesbrough’s Westgarth Social Club at the beginning of 2018 and 2020 is set to be the year for the young quartet.

‘Coming Up Short’ is the second cut from BLOXX’s highly-anticipated debut album and perfectly sets the tone for what we can expect from the LP. There is some busy months ahead before that however, with a UK-wide support slot for the Scottish rock legends Twin Atlantic on the horizon as well as a coveted slot on the inner-city festival circuit after that.

Frontwoman Fee Booth has pushed her way into being one of the brightest female talents in indie right now, that talent shows in the lyrics for ‘Coming Up Short’. Fee lays it bare as she grapples with lost love, romantic inadequacy and the rollercoaster of not knowing what your significant other is thinking, mature lyrics combined with the infectious indie sound sets BLOXX on the path to greatness.

‘Coming Up Short’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and BLOXX will begin their support stint with Twin Atlantic at the Motherwell Civic Centre on March 3rd.
