Brighton-based artist, Alfie Neale is back with 'Vices', a stellar return that weaves elements of soulful R&B, indie and contemporary singer-songwriter. We caught up with him to understand some the fuel behind the fire.

Who are your top three musical inspirations?
When it comes to current artists, I’d have to say vocally Paulo Nutini and Ady Suleiman and performance-wise Anderson .Paak! They’ve all been artists I’ve listened to non-stop for years, especially Paulo and Ady.

Is there a certain film that inspires you?
As funny as it is, after watching Bohemian Rhapsody I went home and wrote piano songs for about a week or so. I guess that inspired me the most recently.

What city do you find the most inspiring?
Brighton, there’s no better city to be a musician.

Who is the most inspiring person to you?
My mum, she taught me what it really means to do something just because you love it.

What are the key inspirations behind the track?
My five best friends from Dorset (where I’m from) who I moved up to Brighton with and lived with at uni in 2017. It’s a combination of stories from all of our lives over the course of those two years, and explaining how important it is to have your mates when times get tough.

How would you like to inspire people?
I guess I just want to inspire people to enjoy music and make the most out of every situation!
