Andrew Cushin - 'It's Gonna Get Better'
Andrew Cushin spectacularly announces him on the North East music scene with the release of his debut single ‘It’s Gonna Get better’.
Despite the clear talent in the voice of the Geordie, singing was never Cushin’s first calling. Football was the 20-year-old’s first passion, playing in the youth team of Newcastle Benfield where his coach now manager discovered his flair for all things musical.
Cushin has been creating a buzz around the region despite having no material released, so much so that the singer-songwriter has managed to sell out his date at The Cluny next month which really sets Cushin on an upward trajectory that we haven’t seen for quite some time.
‘It’s Gonna Get Better’ is a striking introduction from the 20-year-old whose music video beautifully pays homage to his hometown of Newcastle Upon Tyne. The first thing that strikes you is the sheer power of Cushin’s vocals as he pours his young soul out but is optimistic in its approach. When you hear such hype around an artist who hasn’t released music it does raise some questions, but in the case of Andrew Cushin, it is perfectly justified.
‘It’s Gonna Get Better’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and Andrew Cushin will play his sell out show at The Cluny in Newcastle on March 7th.
