Ed The Dog - 'Everybody, I Love You'

Ed The Dog is back and reinvents what we knew about this band with the new single ‘Everybody, I Love You’.

The brainchild of Ed Wetenhall, this indie-rock outfit found instantaneous success with the release of their debut LP ‘Shame’ which became a cult smash, but it hasn’t been easy journey since their 2018 debut, with loneliness of success creeping into the everyday life of Wetenhall.

This brought about a new wave of writing for the artist, with Ed beginning to dive deeper and deeper into his day-to-day life and the loneliness that comes with being a touring artist. As someone who isn’t well versed in Ed the Dog, it was a pleasant surprise to hear something so electrifying and full of wit which has defined his career thus far.

Synth-punk influences are clear for everyone to hear, with Wetenhall taking a new, electrified avenue with the tinge of lyrical rawness. Wetenhall reflects on “total honesty” and how accepting yourself can have consequences on relationships. The pitfalls of musical success have certainly tinged the ripening career of Ed The Dog, but Wethehall’s talent to turn that energy into something excellent is clear to see with ‘Everybody, I Love You’.

‘Everybody, I Love you’ the new single from Ed The Dog is available now on all major streaming platforms.
