Tiny Leaves - 'The Near Isle'
Contemporary classical writer Tiny Leaves shares ‘The Near Isle’ the breathtaking third single taken from his forthcoming album, 'Alone, Not Alone’ due for release February 28th.
Tiny Leaves is the project of composer Joel Nathaniel Pike who has teamed up with violinist Faith Brackenbury on his impending third album, Alone, Not Alone’. ‘The Near Isle’ is a devastatingly beautiful cut of contemporary classical that opens with a shivering sense of solitude in its siren strings before a heavy piano melody soaked in melancholy dominates the flickering orchestral textures.
Yes, this is a song weighed in emotion, there are clouds of darkness that try to block out the light which never admits defeat, always dancing in hope it might be seen. And as the track develops the piano melody moves with lighter, quicker feet, swaying and swelling against the shoreline of the human heart as the instrumental screams with resilience. Where the feeling of personal transformation is fully realised, allowing the track to fade out as gently as it begins.
’The Near Isle’ fully embodies the feeling of yearning, isolation and the journey of transitioning to a better place. To a new destination. Where you can see hope on the horizon like an island gleaming in the afternoon sun.
