Lucia & The Best Boys have just released their ‘Eternity EP’ via Sweet Jane Recordings. The EP was recorded in LA with producer Carlos De La Garza, who has worked with likes of Paramore, Wolf Alice and Beast Coast, and it sees the band throwing it back to the 80s - taking inspiration from the likes of Madonna, Stevie Nicks and Human League.

The band took a moment to explain the EP further - track by track.

CITY OF ANGELS
For anyone who’s ever felt hounded by the “norms” of society and made to feel like they’re not enough. We’re forever judging ourselves and others; its a toxic mentality that sweeps over everyone. We should celebrate originality and our flaws and never feel the need to suppress our personality for the sake of someone else.

GOOD GIRLS DO BAD THINGS
‘Sad boys looking at me always get what they don’t see’ - was a lyric written about times I have experienced men I don’t know trying to make me feel vulnerable, thinking I am incapable or not smart enough to react and defend myself in the many disgusting and unnecessary positions I have found myself in.

MY GOD & FLAMES
It’s always hard to watch something fall apart. The feeling of helplessness amidst heartbreak can make it seem easier to take steps backwards rather than accepting it and moving forwards. These songs were originally written about other people’s situations but over time have helped me in my own.

Lucia & the Best Boys will headline London's Shacklewell Arms on February 25th and Glasgow's King Tuts on March 12th.
