After turning the North East music scene on its head at the end of 2019, bigfatbig are back on the scene with their brand new single ‘So Bored’.

Though still relatively the new girls on the block, the trio’s success thus far has been unprecedented since the launch of their debut single ‘Science’. 2020 will be the making of this all-female trio with the ascent unlikely to stop anytime soon with their no-nonsense attitude and high-energy sound engaging with the masses on another level.

2020 has already proven fruitful for bigfatbig in a live setting, wowing audiences in coveted support slots alongside the likes of Swine Tax and Zuzu and securing high-profile appearances at the likes of Hit The North and This Is Tomorrow Festival over the next few months.

The message of bigfatbig has always been to tackle topics much bigger themselves and show what life is like for young women in today’s society and they’ve cracked it again on ‘So Bored’ tackles the downsides of a one-sided relationship and conformity as a whole.

Though it starts out with a jaunty guitar, ‘So Bored’ quickly explodes as a wave of frustration washes over the listener as leader singer Robyn riles off of “growing tired” of a relationship where you’re putting in “more than you're getting back from” which then quickly expands into an amalgamation of everything that the three-piece are tired with.

‘So Bored’ does perfectly sum up how the current generation feel about society as a whole and goes a long way in helping bigfatbig solidify themselves as the most important new act in the North East.
