Emerson – 'Colours'

Sometimes emotion is simple, sometimes it takes only one word to say a whole sentence, one note to provoke tears or, in case of North London artist Emerson, one striking guitar line to know that a song is pure gold. 

New single ‘Colours’ combines magnetic R&B beats with dreamy dark pop accentuating Emerson’s haunting vocals – at the same time angelic and dangerously seductive. 

Playing with the fires of passion, the track talks about the intoxicating thrills of diving head-first into the unknown: “this drink got me feeling I should say all my feelings […] I swear you’ll be the reason I lose my head.“

And then, when you think the last notes have been sung, the calm tones of ‘Colours’ culminate into a roaring electric guitar line that somehow, perfectly captures all the longing and yearning of new love. The head-spinning excitement, gut-wrenching nerves and overwhelming electricity of infatuation.
