Giraffes - 'She'

Giraffes are back and, in some style, as they lay their pain out for everyone to see on their latest single ‘She’.

This band from the little seaside town of Hartlepool have been through some iterations since the release of acclaimed self-titled EP way back in 2017, a piece that still feels fresh today on what life is like to live in a small, working class town. The original line up of Oliver Sharp and James Cook have returned to start this new era of Giraffes, striking while the iron is hot in what proved to be a very fruitful 2019.

The duo explored the depths of their sonic exploration, whether that’s the sinister ‘Circles’ or the highly emotive, piano-led ‘Youth’. Giraffes explore new territories once again as Sharp takes the lead on what proves to be another emotional delve into the youngster’s soul.

Sharp speaks of a woman that is no longer in his life in raw depth, backed by a single guitar and harrowing synths, it’s a truly haunting piece. Watching these two lads grow over the years has been a true pleasure and it’s beginning to show in their music with ‘she’ been their most mature and best release to date.

‘She’ the latest single from Giraffes is available now on all major streaming platforms.
