Alto Key - 'Colourless'
London alternative-pop artist Alto Key explores the themes of identity and the detrimental effect of labels on moving single, ‘Colourless’.
In his emotionally charged new cut ‘Colourless’, Alto Key expresses his longing to be seen for who he really is. Not only that, he wants his listener to know that the best thing you can be is yourself, regardless of how others may try to portray you. Alto Key and producer Joseph Wander compliment Alto Key’s evocative vocal and intimate lyrics with a cinematic backdrop of suspenseful drums, and heart-wrenching strings.
On the ideas behind the track Alto Key explains, “in its rawest form, 'Colourless' came about from frustrations I was feeling around my own path in life and how I am perceived. I put so much into my love of making music that I had received criticism and pressure in the past from others around me including friends and family. Simultaneously, I had also been becoming increasingly interested around how I wanted to define myself. I think in any case, nothing is black and white - nobody is colourless, and we should be able to feel free to show our true colours.”
’Colourless’ in its entirety uniquelt soars on vibrant and beautifully expansive wings.
