Big Society - 'Feel'

Let Manchester-based outfit Big Society make you ‘Feel’ good with their exhilarating first single of 2020.

What Big Society and producer Pete Robertson have managed to do with ‘Feel’ is create an intricate song that is robust and grounded but also feels really weightless. Glistening guitar work cascades amongst tight percussive rhythms and fuzzy riffs, offering a crunchy juxtaposition to the silky, soaring vocal, that emanates pure bliss.

Thematically, the track explores “the daft loneliness of teenage life and the necessity for exploration outside your comfort zone”. But there’s a new resonance to the inviting chorus, ‘Come play outside’ that offers escapism from the four walls of our current state of lockdown.

’Feel’ is a buoyant and playful groove that artfully taps into 80s pop rock influences without losing its hefty contemporary appeal. ‘Feel’ is taken from Big Society’s upcoming debut EP and will leave you salivating for more.
