HEAVN - 'Feelings'

London-based artist HEAVN chooses self love, and prioritises herself over a toxic relationship on sizzling electro pop single, ‘Feelings’.

Produced by Brookfield (Charli XCX, Harry Strange, Richard Fairlie) and co- written with her keyboard player Jaco and Tana, HEAVN’s ‘Feelings’ is an electro pop anthem that rides through the emotions of infatuation and then denial to finally champion independence.

‘Feelings’ sweats hot commercial appeal, seeing the track open with dark vocal manipulation and jagged guitars. As the track develops, the production becomes more electrifying and bass heavy with thicker layers of warped synth introduced as HEAVN tries to work through her emotions, offering a brilliant juxtaposition to HEAVN’S atmospheric vocal. But her sultrily vocal sees her take back her agency as she confidently states, “You can have it all, but not me”.

‘Feelings’ comes with a music video directed by James Gallant (Dub Pistols, Izzy Thomas, July Jones) that plays with colour and shadow to represent the different moods in the track’s lyrics and production.
