Keep Dancing Inc – 'Start Up Nation'

In the runup to the release of their debut album later this year, French indie pop group Keep Dancing Inc are creating some buzz with fun-loving new single ‘Start Up Nation’.

‘Start Up Nation’ comes in strong with an analogue bassline that gives a nod to 80s nostalgia, immediately followed by an irresistibly groovy beat throwing it all the way back to flared trousers and shoulder pads.

Frontman Louis’s vocals are impressively cool – a heavy contrast to the overall bouncy vibe of the track - delivering subtle political commentary so straight-faced that it sounds almost too real: ”Hail to the start-up nation, doesn’t matter what you sell if you sell it well.“ This song could easily be the soundtrack to a Black Mirror episode.

The French band impress with a unique and innovative sound in a genre where it’s easy to cross the line between good and generic. If you’re thinking of joining the start-up culture, invest in Keep Dancing Inc. They’re onto something.
