Emily Vu – 'Weekend'

Rising pop starlet Emily Vu releases an intoxicating pop anthem with new single ‘WEEKEND’. 

Co-produced by Sir Nolan (Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez) and Andrew Schmid, ‘WEEKEND’ packs a punch. A beat-driven melody that follows an infectious guitar riff sets the scene for Emily’s electrifying vocals, creating an impressively captivating atmosphere. It is quite literally impossible not to vibe with her cool demeanour and laid-back attitude. 

But despite its upbeat coating, lyrically, ‘WEEKEND’ is far from sunny talking about the disappointment and heartbreak that come with falling for the wrong person: “Days were getting better by the second, all the shit I said to you I meant it. These feelings started to deepen but you were gone by the weekend.”

This single, no doubt, puts Emily on the map as a voice to look out for and speaks volumes for her potential to become a top player in the future of pop music.
