Chicago born singer-songwriter Sarah Walk announces the release of her sophomore record ‘Another Me’ (August 28th) and drops a first taster in form of  stunning new single ‘What Do I Want’.

‘Another Me’ is an album about “being marginalised, being a woman, learning how to set boundaries without apology and being confident without feeling guilty for it. Learning how to love wholly without expectation.” ‘What Do I Want’ gives a first insight into this new world of Sarah embracing her identity as a queer woman. To the steady heartbeat of powerful drums and glittering synth-pop melodies that burst into a soaring chorus, it talks about being paralysed by anxiety and indecision – “Searching for an answer but I don’t have the questions, I forgot the reasons why we got here.”

Talking about ‘What Do I Want’, Sarah explains: “Sometimes it’s easier to be so overwhelmed by what to do that you don’t do anything until someone else makes a decision for you. I think part of that comes from being a woman; we’ve been conditioned to doubt our capability; afraid of confidence coming off as arrogance. Writing this song was a way of holding myself accountable so I can transcend societal structures and avoid falling into the same patterns of paralysed anxiety.”
