Young starlets Birthday Card blend the very fabric of pop with their genre bending new single ‘Radio Star’.

This Aylesbury quintet first appeared on the radar after Dirty Hit’s Jamie Oborne put out the feelers on social media after receiving the demo for their debut single ‘Shy Away’. The five-piece have come a long way since then, releasing ‘Shy Away’ to critical acclaim in 2019 and the quintet are gearing up for their debut live show in the capital in September.

Birthday Card’s ability to pick and choose the best parts of their pop and urban influences and effortlessly blend them together and ‘Radio Star’ is the best example of that as they push the boundaries of their hybrid sound to another level.

Seen as a successor to ‘Shy Away, Birthday Card describe it as a “all-out pop song” which is what the listener is treated to, with a thumping electronic and autotuned vocal making it an anthem that is much needed in the current climate and sets Birthday Card as ones to watch in 2020.

‘Radio Star’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and Birthday Card will play their debut London show at The Old Blue on September 19th.
