The Scruff - 'Vultures'

The Scruff have returned and have the internet age in their crosshairs on the punchy new single ‘Vultures’.

This Bedford trio really broke through in 2019, fuelled mainly by the success of the highly emotive single ‘Her’, garnering them acclaim from the likes of Radio 1. The three-piece are looking to keep building on that success, with ‘Vultures’ the first step towards the band’s debut album.

As expected, their punk-fuelled energy seeps right throughout The Scruff, especially in their live show which has become stuff of legend as they’ve caused chaos up and down the country and are only expected to go up another level when the trio are allowed to be let loose from lockdown.

‘Vultures’ gives you little to no time to be prepared as it flies straight out of the blocks, hitting you with an infectious bounce and swagger as it rips into the toxicity of the newsfeed and how that effects the mind.

Frontman Adam James Urwin didn’t hold back on the punches against the “scathing comments section” and the “stark reality” we’re up against and what it means for freedom of speech and how social media will affect people the “whole world over”. ‘Vultures’ is a brutally honest reflection of the world we find ourselves, a voice of reasoning that is much needed and sets The Scruff as ones to watch in 2020.

‘Vultures’, the new single from The Scruff is available now on all major streaming platforms.
