Alex Frew – 'Get Out Alive'
Canadian singer-songwriter Alex Frew shares debut single ‘Get Out Alive’ and gives us a new sound to obsess over.
Hypnotic beat-driven pop melodies paint ‘Get Out Alive’ a soothing blue. Elevated by Alex’s gentle vocals, emotive verses lead into a disarming chorus that couldn’t be more infectious if it tried. But while ‘Get Out Alive’ outwardly passes as calm, its inner workings are far from it. Coloured by raw, unfiltered emotion, Alex reflects on a relationship that has run its course – “Yeah I know it takes some work sometimes, I’ll take all the pain and forget your lies. If I don’t leave now, I don’t know how I’ll get out alive tonight.”
‘Get Out Alive’ is an amazing debut. A song that is positively addictive and leaves you wanting more. Here’s to hoping thang young Alex doesn’t leave us waiting too long.
