Feeo - 'yeti'

Oxford producer and songwriter feeo shares dreamy new single ‘yeti’.

‘yeti’ arrives soft and soothing. Silky smooth melodies made up of intriguing sounds taken fresh out of nature - like the glacial sound of ice melting or a traditional Nepalese horn - feeo creates a mystical soundscape that effortlessly intertwines with her gorgeous vocals as she explores a tale as old as time -“The yeti’s always just out of sight but sometimes I hear him sing. His lonely voice carried on the wind but what I wouldn’t give to prove to him that he’s more than a myth.”

Talking about the inspiration behind the track, feeo explains: “Yeti is an exploration of the multiplicity of the human 'self' and its relationship with our concepts of 'other'. Using a myth based narrative, I wanted to look at the subconscious, primal self and depict the duality between this and the real world. I was particularly interested in looking at the parallels between myth and reality and the idea that myth is a projection of our deeper human selves.”
