Death by Piano - 'Emergency'

Death by Piano continue to smash through the silence of quarantine with their cinematic new single ‘Emergency’. 

Made up of Kalen and Greywolf, this New York native duo have always been act that have thrived in the grass roots, amassing quite the audience since their formation in 2017 and constant gigs in the big apple saw them break out as one of the city’s new talents. 

It was only a year after their formation that the two-piece expanded their fanbase on a much grander scale with their breakthrough EP ‘Countdown’ which perfectly captured the twosome’s unique sound of smooth R’n’B with trip-hop. 

2020 saw their first piece of new music since their breakthrough, with the previous single ‘Newer Light’ announcing their return and their new musical exploration as we see Death by Piano explore synth-pop. 

Their latest cut, ‘Emergency’ rattles a number of different emotions, equal parts melancholic and harrowing which takes the listener down quite the winding road. The track does capture the times we all find ourselves in, whilst teetering on a knifes edge of paranoia and doom but is also beautifully cinematic to create a truly beautiful piece.
