Francis of Delirium – 'Ashamed'
Canadian American duo Francis of Delirium share expressive new single ‘Ashamed’ taken from their upcoming EP ‘All Change’ (June 19th).
Led by punchy drums and poignant guitars, ‘Ashamed’ is unmistakably coloured by 90s grunge. A sound that is heavily infused with a sense of inner turmoil reflected in their urgent lyricism - “I tried to get it right, now I’m sat up in bed not sleeping all night. Jumping the same rope and my legs can’t move when these knots are coming in so close.”
Talking about the track, vocalist Jana explains: “Ashamed’ is about navigating how much of yourself you should be giving out to other people and then second guessing yourself, feeling like what you are giving out isn’t enough, feeling inadequate, being ashamed of that.”
