LA based singer/songwriter Tei Shi shows a new progression of sound on current edgy electro pop single ‘Die 4 Ur Love’, out now via DIKTATOR.
Last month Tei Shi brought out ‘Die 4 Ur Love’, her first single since her second album ‘La Linda’ and her first release as an independent artist. ‘Die R Ur Love’ debuts a progression of sound away from her mellow r&b influences, into a darker, more dense electro pop sound showcasing dark pulsating synth and driving a snares rhythm that hits home with a really cool kick.
Tei Shi’s vocal is slick and determined, transitioning into a blissful chorus that immerses its listener in a fresh and uplifting retro pop vibes. On the ideas behind the track Tei Shi explains:
“'Die 4 Ur Love’ is a song about the end of the world as you know it. About losing someone or something you never knew you could lose, and then all of a sudden, your reality shifts,” she says. “All the things you would have done, or said, the love you could have given, and being willing to die over it. I wrote it right after the new year when I was feeling a sense of impending doom and darkness, which now feels surreal to see taking form in a real way around the world and in how the rest of 2020 has unfolded.”
