Getting Intimate With #14 - Galactic Dust

Electronic rnb outfit Galactic Dust are scattering ‘DiscoDust’ on their latest single, so we took a moment to catch up with band members Noam and Alfie to see what makes them sparkle.

When I’m stressed I ...
Noam - breathe. Sounds obvious but it truly is the best thing. I focus on my breath, breathe in on a count of three, hold in for four and release on five. Try it.

The album I play over and over is ...
Noam - Isolation by Kali Uchis. That album has great melodies, great production and features a lot of other artists we really enjoy, like Damon Albarn or Kevin Parker.

The last person I spoke on the phone to was ...
Noam - Alfie, one of the other band members. We try to speak daily whether it is music related or not.  Being close to each other is the most important thing in Galactic Dust.

My favourite place in the world is ...
Noam - Alfie’s bedroom! This is where we set up our little studio, where we write and record all of our songs, film videos, edit them… It’s a really vibey and creative environment. Also, nothing can go wrong in a studio that has a bed in it.

My favourite comfort food dish is ...
Noam - pizza of course. I like it spicy, and morning pizza is the best. I love to share pizza with someone so if you’re meeting with me bring one with you!

My biggest regret is…
Noam - No regrets.. it’s a waste of time and energy..

The movie I watch when I’m sad is ...
Alfie - one of the Star Wars. One of the original trilogy to be precise. Number 4 probably, for the cantina band. I can’t get enough of these galactic adventures.

My last thought before falling asleep last night was ...
Noam - I’m definitely not tired enough to fall asleep.

The last book I read was…
Noam - So Lucky by Dawn O’porter, I love her writing.
