Following her critically acclaimed debut EP ‘teenage angst’, alt-pop sensation renforshort returns with new single ‘fuck, I luv my friends’.

As the title suggests, ‘fuck, I luv my friends’ is a beautiful ode to friendship. Fuzzy guitars and sparkling rhythms capture the warm, carefree feeling of long summer nights spent sitting around bonfires. There is a rose tinted, romantic flair to its dreamy melodies: the invincible state of feeling infinite, alive in the moment. A sentiment that seeps into her intricate lyricism – “Nowhere to go and nowhere to be. Jus singing along to a teenage dream. If I ran away tonight, I know you’d run with me.”

‘fuck, I luv my friends’ is the perfect follow up to ‘teenage angst’, staying true to its big choruses and magnetic atmosphere but turning the anxiety ridden themes into something a little more optimistic. Being a first glimpse of what’s to come, the single makes one thing very clear: There are big things on the horizon for the young talent.
