Winter Gardens – ‘Tapestry’

Sussex dream-punks Winter Gardens share striking title single ‘Tapestry’ from their upcoming debut EP (September 25th).

“The EP epitomises our shared love for the beauty in the world, both obvious and hidden,” the band say of the record. In keeping with that sentiment, lead single ‘Tapestry’ “was written with a truly brooding passion for art and all things creative, to show how reality can be portrayed on a canvas.” To a powerful soundscape of dreamy guitar lines and magnetic drums, ‘Tapestry’ combines ethereal beauty with the raw energy of punk. The centre piece: angelic vocals that dance weightlessly along tranquil verses leading into a stormy chorus. There is some kind of hypnotic power to these perceived opposites coming together and finding common ground in a hazy crescendo of emotion.
