Calva Louise have released their new EP ‘POPURRÍ’ which is by far their most ambitious work to date. POPURRÍ is a wonderful experimental EP which sees the band incorporate dark pop, electronica & exhilarating punk.

Calva Louise have hit the ground running in the UK playing venues all over & releasing 1 album & an EP, they now look to build on their success in the UK with their fantastic new EP POPURRÍ. With the bands roots coming from Venezuela, France & New Zealand the sounds they create are so eclectic & unique but also the visuals they in their music videos are magnificent.

The first song on the EP is ‘Camino’ a fabulous song which mixes both hypnotic electronic music with new wave pop, a fantastic opening track builds up anticipation for the next two explosive tracks. Things then flow perfectly for the next track ‘I Wish’ which is a wonderful & catchy indie pop song, the song has the right balance of mainstream pop & alternative guitar music creating a catchy free flowing song. The final song is the single ‘POPURRÍ’ which is the best song on the EP. ‘POPURRÍ’ merges both Spanish & English lyrics in the song but it’s the delivery of the vocals by Jess Allanic which make this superb punk song.

All three songs on the EP bring different dimensions to the bands sound which is so intriguing. Calva Louise constantly keep fans on their toes whilst staying true to their identity throughout.
