Yeva - 'Lost In The Woods'
LA based singer songwriter Yeva pays tribute to her Armenian roots in new single, ‘Lost In The Woods’.
“This song is about wandering too far from what you know and realising you’ve lost track of where you are and where your path lies,” Yeva says about ‘Lost In The Woods’. A sentiment that is deeply engrained in the DNA of its haunting melodies and hypnotic vocals that seem to lure you further and further into darkness.
“I have been searching, over rocks and roots I crawled. I have been climbing over trees that I let fall” she sings, accompanied by the alluring sounds of a traditional Armenian quanun. The instrument references her Armenian-American background and opens the door to a whole new feeling: homesickness.
With ‘Lost In The Woods’ Yeva has created a beautiful ode to a feeling that many will be able to recognise while showcasing not only her disarming vocals but stunning songwriting skills.
