Toronto-born/London-raised singer songwriter Devan fuels excitement for her debut solo project with first single ‘Real Shot’.
‘Real Shot’ blends the euphoric high of infectious pop rhythms with the unfiltered emotion of poetic songwriting and creates a beautiful balance. Devan’s captivating vocals add another shimmering layer of emotive colouring to the track’s stunning palette as she traces the haunting what-ifs of old relationships. “’Real Shot’ is written from the perspective of someone looking back on an old relationship and wondering what things would have been like if it had played out differently,” Devan explains. “Growing out of relationships and gaining more perspective on each situation can leave you wondering: ‘What if we were older and more mature, and didn’t let things fall apart? Where would we be now?’”
