Mt. Misery - 'I Was Wrong'
Hartlepool’s brightest musical prospect Mt. Misery see the dreaded feeling of heartbreak roll around again with their blissfully bleak new single ‘I Was Wrong’.
Though this three-piece haven’t been around for too long, Mt. Misery have quickly become one of the most-lauded acts in the North East for their dream-like indie pop melodies. There’s no denial that the band’s success has all been self-made, with two self-recorded EPs already under their belts and that same attitude going to be prominent throughout their upcoming debut album.
2020 has already been quite the year for the Hartlepudlian three-piece, getting the chance to perform at the prestigious and reimagined Deer Shed Festival and teasing their LP to fans with ‘The Dreaming Days Are Over’ and now the powerful ‘I Was Wrong’.
It may not sound like it, but ‘I Was Wrong’, mixed by favourite of the band Kenny Gilmore, was Mt. Misery’s attempt at writing something a “little more positive” but naturally led into something that deals with the pain of seeing someone you love be with somebody else. ‘I Was Wrong’ still embraces the wistful melodies and timeless charm this band have become known for and really starts this trio on the path to true greatness.
‘I Was Wrong’, the new single from Mt. Misery is available now on all streaming platforms.
