Brighton based indie rock band Chappaqua Wrestling shares grungy new single, ‘The Rift’.
Chappaqua Wrestling’s new single ‘The Rift’ has some dirty guitar riffs and bass lines setting a disorientating backdrop to vocalist and guitarist Charlie Woods hypnotic, droning vocal. Woods lyrical delivery effortlessly flows into a soundscape of cool and slightly twisted melodies as Woods croons, ‘And I want you to heal, and I want you to feel, And I want you to heal, because I’m honest, are you honest’?’
"'The Rift’ is a track about conflict, acknowledging the increasing divisions within society, and calling out those that turn the blind eye," says Woods. "Events from the last year have got to a global boiling point and creatively this has taken us to the same place. It’s the most powerful track we’ve released so far, and it amplifies our perception on how the last year or so has felt."
