Faultress - 'Owl'

Lyricist, storyteller and musician Rosi Croom (aka Faultress) returns with stunning new single ‘Owl’.

There’s nothing quite as enchanting as pure, unadulterated vocals. Songs that live on an artist’s voice alone have a certain kind of drama to them that, by its very nature, makes them incredibly intriguing. Untainted by big, flashy productions and distracting instrumentals, ‘Owl’ sparkles with a mystic kind of magic. It’s delicate yet surprisingly rich soundscape might as well have been spun by highland faeries.

There is nowhere to hide. Instead, Faultress’ soaring vocals dance with intricately interweaving harmonies, giving the track a soothing colour. Lyrically, Rosi addresses loneliness in a way that is as poetic as it is haunting – “And I will one day go from here, and they will never know that I was there.”

A song specifically designed for headphones, ‘Owl’ is the first offering taken from Faultress’ upcoming record ‘Creatures’ - an album that “examines loneliness and fractured mental health.” If you like music that leaves you no choice but to listen and confront your demons, if you are a lyrics person, Faultress is made for you.
