Belako - ‘Sirène’

The wait is almost over for the international debut of Spanish punk stars Belako, who have released a final teaser for ‘Plastic Dreams’ with the new single ‘Sirène’.

It has been quite the wait to see this four-piece finally make their debut outside of Spain, having released four albums already in their native home but ‘Plastic Dreams’ marks a true breakthrough for the quartet on their most ambitious project to date.

We’ve been more than treated when it comes to getting a taste for ‘Plastic Dreams’, especially with the bands releasing more and more material due to a COVID pushback. ‘Sirène’ is our final taster and it seems that Belako have been saving the best for last.

It certainly has the heavy and intense sound that we’ve come accustomed to with Belako, but like each song we’ve heard so far it has its unique landscape in which it lives. Vocalist Cristina Lizarraga shows her talents has no limits, singing entirely in French as she depicts a dream about true equality & standing tall in support for transgender communities. Belako have hit it out of the park once again as they tussle with the world’s injustices head on and perfectly set themselves up for one of the most anticipated debut LP’s of the year.
