Junodream - 'easy life'

Having been named one of The Independent’s top 15 bands to watch in 2020, Shoegaze quintet Junodream return with new single ‘easy life’.

Drawing on a wide array of sounds from post-rock to psychedelia, ‘easy life’ marks the beginning of a new chapter for Junodream. Mixing dreamy melodies with the electrifying buzz of roaring guitars, the track showcases an intensely dynamic feel that stands in stark contrast with its rather melancholic subject matter.  As the band explains, “‘easy life’ is fundamentally about laziness and insecurity. Actively alienating yourself from the real world.” With its progressive sound and pensive lyricism, ‘easy life’ is extremely of the moment, giving food for thought while creating an escapist soundsphere.

Talking more about the track, the band adds: “Social exhaustion and anxiety can drive people online and there’s a safety in doing that, although you can inadvertently alienate yourself from the real world.  You put on a different skin online and easy validation will follow if you’re willing to betray reality. But the music has a darker undertone to it. How easy do you want it to be, before it consumes you completely?”
