“This is a song about being deeply lonely. It's about having a vision: The love of your life, is right in front you. You can see them, smell them, taste them, touch them. It's so real and visceral. And yet it's just a dream” says Mondry.
As the track develops, there’s a real ethereal beauty to the Mondry’s layered vocals, seeing the magnificence of the track shine through in its dreamy production that ebbs and flows with dramatic percussive tones and swirling ambient synth textures.
“I recorded this song with producer Justin Glasco (Andrew Bird, Christina Perri, The Lone Bellow). Our intention: to create a space where the listener could slip into a dream, losing themselves in the depths of love and fantasy. When the final guitar fades out, reality sets back in. The dream is over. But we're left with a sense of love and we're re-connected to our passion for connection.”
