The Jaded Hearts Club - 'Love's Gone Bad'
All-star collective The Jaded Hearts Club shares the latest product of its crate-digging mission to put a new spin on lost classics from the world of Northern soul.
The Jaded Hearts Club is a sheer token of music celebration - taking the form of a host of recognisable names in rock, including Miles Kane, Nic Cester, Graham Coxon, Jamie Davis, Matt Bellamy, and Sean Payne; this is perhaps one of the most exciting happenings in music right now.
The latest single, ‘Love’s Gone Bad’, gifts us a raucous rock ‘n’ roll take on the ‘66 Chris Clark classic. In the hands of The Jaded Hearts Club, the song has become a rush of adrenalised Northern Soul energy, topped by a swaggering, larger-than-life vocal from Miles Kane. “Love’s Gone Bad, a rare Northern soul stomper that we dug from the underground. We beefed it up and gave it golden wings with matching loafers! Be prepared to dance!” says Miles Kane.
The band’s origin - and undeniably its core appeal - shaped up in 2017 when Jamie Davis, a British guitarist living in LA, wanted to book a Beatles covers band for his birthday party. The cost proved to be excessive, so Davis instead asked his friends to put an impromptu band together. At their second gig - Stella McCartney’s fashion show - Paul McCartney jumped on stage as Ringo Starr watched on.
‘Love’s Gone Bad’ is the latest track to preview their hotly awaited debut album ‘You’ve Always Been Here’ which is set for release on October 2nd.
