Martha Hill - 'Landslide'

Newcastle based alt-pop artist Martha Hill brings out the big guns on new single ‘Landslide’.

Brimming with energy, ‘Landslide’ is absolutely irresistible. Driven by melodic guitars and bouncy percussions, the track sails through dynamic verses into a big hook-heavy chorus. Martha Hill’s instantly recognisable husky vocals shine in a new light, wrapped into a whirlwind of melodies. But despite its upbeat exterior, ‘Landslide’ tackles a darker underlying theme. “‘Landslide’ is ultimately about not feeling right”, Martha reveals. “When you’re down, it’s hard to imagine the up, and when you’re up, there’s no such thing as down”.

‘Landslide’ joins previous single ‘Grilled Cheese’ on the track list for Martha’s upcoming EP ‘Summer Up North’ – a collection of songs talking about her experience living in the north east. With two big fat tunes fuelling expectations, the EP promises to be a highly infectious work out art with an authentic DIY feel.
