Luna Pines - 'She Can't See Me'
Luna Pines are trying their hand at house with their own dream pop twist with their new single ‘She Can’t See Me’.
This London duo have been turning heads with their dream-infused sound, with the likes of the BBC and Spotify showing love for the two-piece as well as two sell-out shows in the capital.
Their success has certainly astronomical considering they have only begun to release music at the beginning of 2020, releasing four singles before ‘She Can’t See Me’. But it is their latest cut that certainly catches the attention with their most emotional release to date as we focus on a stagnant state of not feeling good enough.
Written with Thomas Trueman (Dokkodo Sounds & Laminate Pet Animal), it does see Luna Pines take a slight turn from their usual sound as they embrace the house genre to looks back at Lotte van den Berg’s move to London and the “overwhelming” feeling that came with it.
‘She Can’t See Me’ is a conversation with herself about the relationships in her life and the feeling of not being “good enough” for many of them and a tight grapple with “self-worth”. This is much more than Luna Pines exploring a new genre, it’s Lotte exploring her soul and laying it all bare to create a truly special piece of music.
