Harris Procopiou combines the sounds of nature and neoclassical influences with celestial tones on psyche-stirring composition, ‘Renewal’.
Opening with a gentle piano melody and natural organic samples, ‘Renewal’ sees Harris Procopiou create an ecosystem of sounds that crawls with the serenity of nature. But there’s also a sense of darkness and slight sorrow that lingers over the piece. Procopiou knows that light cannot come without darkness, and that every living thing is constantly in transition.
’Renewal’ is driven by organic neoclassical sounds, but as the track develops, Procopiou heightens the tension and excitement of the piece by weaving pulsating and writhing synth through the composition. This gives the composition a cosmic, out of body, sci fi kind of feel and leaves its listener feeling like something truly special just happened.
