OSKA - 'Misunderstood'
Vienna-based indie pop singer and songwriter OSKA opens up about feeling lost on new single, ‘Misunderstood’.
To a dimly lit backdrop of slow-moving guitar lines accompanied by gentle strings, OSKA creates a safe space that encourages vulnerability. Her delicate vocals carry with them traces of melancholy that reflect the song’s poetic lyricism: “Don’t tell me it’s because of my childhood that I feel so misunderstood. Don’t tell me it’s because of the rain that I feel so much pain.”
The final addition to her debut EP ‘Honeymoon Phase’, ‘Misunderstood’ puts the finishing touches on OSKA’s sound palette – an emotive brand of pop that leaves you absolutely spell-bound. Gentle and sweet like a soft summer breeze, she sweeps through the nation and makes life hurt a little less.
