Bleach Lab are using music as an outlet to overcome the anger of loss with their ferocious new single ‘Old Ways’.

Formed in Buckinghamshire and residing in South London, 2020 proved to be quite the year for the quartet, releasing three singles including ‘Never Be’ which was lauded by fans and critics alike.

‘Never Be’ is one of the songs that will make up the quartet’s new EP expected to be released in March which tackles the melding of two separate traumatic experiences. With the death of bassist Josh Longman’s father and the breakdown of singer Jenna Kyle’s long-term relationship, the band maintained their ethos for collaboration on the lyrics for the EP.

The overarching theme is based around the five stages of grief and the comparative and contrasting experiences that each individual faces. ‘Old Ways’ is a focus on anger, mainly on the breakdown of Kyle’s relationship with how “they treated you” and towards yourself for “still missing” them despite that.

‘Old Ways’ is the perfect start to a new direction for Bleach Lab and with their upcoming EP on the horizon, we can expect it to be an exceptional 2021 for this four-piece.
