Leeds’ hottest all-girl outfit, VENUS GRRRLS are breaking down the walls of stereotypes with their new single ‘Goth Girl’.

This Yorkshire quintet have really been turning heads of late with their own brand of alternative rock, refusing to take their foot off the gas and invade your eardrums at full pelt with no remorse at the damage that they cause along the way.

VENUS GRRRLS have really made a name for themselves both on and off stage for their riotous attitude, which has proven to pay dividends supporting the likes of Bloxx and All Time Low. Like all artists, these girls have grown eager to get back on stage, with all that energy being transferred into the studio.

The self-proclaimed “queens of riot” are swinging a sledgehammer of wildness on ‘Goth Girl’, as they look to shatter the stereotypical boundaries that surrounds the culture of goths and witchcraft. ‘Goth Girl’ is more than just grizzling bassline and fuzzy guitars, it shows these girl’s fearlessness to tell a story of the “struggles” of a counter-culture and paying ode to their “younger selves.”

The dirty sound of ‘Goth Girl’ is perfectly matched with impeccable production to give us a track that proves to be the perfect palette cleanser and it really gives you hope that female representation in the music industry is on the rise and there’s no doubt that VENUS GRRRLS will be at the forefront in the future.
