Festival News: Reading & Leeds Festival Announce 2022 Headliners, First Wave of Acts
Reading & Leeds Festival are coming back stronger than ever as they announce their headliners for 2022, along with 25 other acts that are set to perform over the bank holiday weekend.
Keeping to their dual headliners every night, promising huge names and no clashes, the headliners have been announced to be Dave and Megan Thee Stallion, Arctic Monkeys and Bring Me The Horizon, and Rage Against The Machine and Halsey.
Upon the announcement of their headline slot next year, Bring Me The Horizon have said: “To be headlining Reading & Leeds was never even a dream of mine as it’s something I could never imagine happening.. I just never saw our band as a festival headline act. But now it’s happening I promise you we are going to put on the best show of our lives for you lot.”
Other acts that have been announced for the festival include the varied rock and indie stylings of Wolf Alice, Circa Waves, Fontaines D.C., Glass Animals and Pale Waves. This is alongside notable names in rap such as Run The Jewels, Denzel Curry, Polo G and Jack Harlow.
The festival also sees the return of Enter Shikari and Fever 333, and the UK festival debuts of Eurovision 2021 winners Måneskin and US pop-punk star jxdn.
Festival Republic’s managing director Melvin Benn said of the line-up announcement: “With so many amazing acts set to play, Reading and Leeds is set to return as the ultimate festival weekend of the summer: defining the sounds of modern ground breaking music. I cannot wait!”
Tickets are on general sale from 9am on Friday 10th December and can be purchased on the respective Reading Festival and Leeds Festival websites.
