Jared Alto - 'Open'
East-London singer-songwriter Jared Alto reminds us to take nothing for granted on debut single ‘Open’.
Carried by gentle piano lines and intricate harmonies, ‘Open’ sounds like falling slowly. Jared’s serene vocals feel warm and safe as he reminisces on the little things that make life worth living. "The song is about appreciating the little moments in life, the ones we tend to take for granted with someone," he explains. "It shows glimpses of things that would never make it on a social media feed. When I wrote the lyrics, I couldn’t shift the thought that we only stop to remember little details once it’s too late. And when it is too late, we’re haunted by the doubts and regrets."
Honest and introspective, ‘Open’ is a beautiful first glimpse into Jared’s musical mind. His emotion-driven take on songwriting has every potential to steal countless of hearts this summer.
